Time, though it may seem to fly right by in the long-run, only inches by when you are waiting for something short-term. Ironic isn't it? Life is set up so that it teaches us things...things we like: the meaning of love, what a family is (be it blood kin or no relation at all) and things we dont like so much: patience, kindness (because we all know when we get cut-off driving or almost run over in the parking lot of Wal-Mart we tend to be all but kind) and lonliness.
They say time is a great teacher, they say time is a great healer, as well. I've yet to see how it is that time is either of these things, but apparently THEY know everything. "Just give it time, it will all work out," this is what alot of the people i know say. But how exactly do i give it time? Do i send it gift-wrapped with a little bow? Humor me- please.
I'd like to think that time is a person the way everyone speaks of it. Like it has its own will and way just like life- it is said that life deals us unfair hands sometimes- this I have witnessed- but i know that the only person in control of my life is God, and he has HIS will for me.
But back to time. Time isnt something we can see. Though, we can see a clock tick by or even the affects of time. We see the changes that time itself bring, and there is nothing we can do about it. See, i find another thing ironic, when we are waiting for our short-term want to come to pass we wish time away, saying on a monday "Man, i wish it were the weekend already" or "I'm so ready for Summer break, i wish it were May." Then, when time catches up with us and we are over the hill, and some, we wish it back, "Oh what i would give to be a kid again."
Ironic, then again life is ironic. Maybe I will understand- in time.
I am glad you join it is good blog
